From daily chapel to cell groups, from accountability circles to mega campus events — life at HBI is a continuous journey of spiritual formation, fellowship, and joyful community.
More than 500 people gather every week at New Calvary Church, located right on the HBI campus. NCC is more than a Sunday service — it is a living classroom where students put their training into practice through preaching, worship leading, hospitality, and pastoral care.
For students preparing for ministry, NCC offers a real congregation, a real community, and real chances for hands-on, experience-building growth.
Spiritual formation at HBI is a continuous process in which God rescues, renews, and restores people and communities in Christ from the domain of spiritual darkness — reshaping their minds with the word of God and their beings with the Spirit of God, to conform the whole person to the image of Christ, shape them to serve the Body of Christ, and reveal His Kingdom and glory.
Alongside this spiritual development, students are guided and counselled to overcome emotional, spiritual, and social challenges as they grow.
Structured, regular disciplines that shape every student's walk with God throughout their time at HBI.
Students are divided into small groups to share, support, and encourage one another through prayer and advice. A faculty or staff member leads each group, offering individual time of prayer and counselling.
Students assemble for intercessory prayer every afternoon at 1 pm, and gather again every Wednesday between 6 and 7 pm for an extended time of corporate prayer.
Every Friday, students meet in cell groups designed to help them grow spiritually strong together — sharing life, scripture, and encouragement in a smaller, closer setting.
Pastoral and counselling care is a vital activity that shapes students spiritually and helps in their development as transformational leaders, walking alongside them through every season.
Informal moments that build the relationships and community at the heart of life at HBI.
HBI & College hosts webinars that enable participants from all over the world to interact and discuss biblical topics in real time, through chat or email — connecting our campus to the global church.
Leaders from various Christian organizations and churches present their ministries, offering students an excellent chance to be inspired, hear strategies, and discover ministries to serve.
The heartbeat of campus life — daily worship and monthly service that shape every student's character.
Chapel services are held every day, and all students must attend compulsorily — a daily rhythm of worship at the centre of campus life.
Held on the first Monday of every month, students are given opportunities to lead worship and serve communion to the wider campus community.
Students are encouraged to get involved in fasting prayers, mid-week prayers, and Sunday services as part of their ongoing spiritual rhythm.
Throughout the year, the HBI calendar is filled with celebrations, traditions, and milestones that bring the whole campus together.
From daily worship to mega celebrations, life at HBI is a community that forms, supports, and celebrates you every step of the way.
