Our Academic Life
Emphasis on Biblical Language
A special emphasis is given for the Biblical languages such as Greek and Hebrew. Students will be taught the basic elements and advanced level of New Testament Greek grammar. They will also be trained both in basic and advanced level in Hebrew.
Modular and Regular Classes
The B.Th., M.A in Biblical studies and the M.A in Transformational Urban Leadership programs have modular classes primarily for those in the ministry but who do not have any training. The M.Div and M.Th program are instituted as residential programs. The focus of these programs is to ensure the development of strong evangelical and sound Biblical theological leaders.
Seminars and Conferences
Annual Missions Conference is a regular feature at HBI. It is a time where all pastors, missionaries and students related to the various ministries of HBI, come together for a time of spiritual refreshment.

Library & Computer Lab
Our library has approximately a collection of 100,000 volumes, 145 Periodicals and Records of Thesis completed by our students. HBI & College is also a subscriber of the American Theological Library Association (ATLA).
EBSCO Discovery Services
HBI & College is the first theological college to subscribe to EBSCO Discovery Services which brings together the most comprehensive collection of content.
ATLA Religion Database(ATLA RDB)
The ATLA Religion Database is the premier index to journal articles, book reviews and collections of essays in all fields of religion, with coverage from 1949 and retrospective indexing for some journal issues as far back as the nineteenth century.

Assignments, Research Paper and Examinations
- Each course requires assignments and papers worthy of 40% of students final grade.
- At the end of each semester a written examination is conducted for each student, which carries 60% of the final grade.
Thesis Proposal & Dissertation Writing Seminars
Every year we conduct seminars on critical thinking and writing, proposal writing, thesis writing etc for students enrolled in PhD, MTh, MATUL, DMin and MDiv programs.
PG Seminars
Every month faculty members and other scholars present an academic community where all the faculty, students and concerned staff members attend.
Publications
Hindustan Evangelical Review (HER) is published every year. It comprises of articles and extracts from published thesis by the faculty. The college also brings out a yearbook featuring various reports from the different Ministries of HBI.
